About the project

Challenge

Shabby’s initial digital presence was limited to an Instagram and Facebook account, which offered some visual storytelling and updates but lacked the functionality and depth of a dedicated website. Without a centralized platform, potential customers found it challenging to access detailed information about menu offerings, events, or the brand’s story.

A Distinctive Digital Identity
Seamless User Experience
Integrated Social Media Strategy

Approach

1. Brand DNA & Visual Language: Inspired by Shabby’s vintage aesthetic, we established a soft, earthy color palette—think roasted coffee beans, warm cream, and subtle sage—to set a comforting tone. We paired these hues with hand-drawn iconography and gentle typography that evoked artisanal craftsmanship. The look: nostalgic, yet fresh and inviting.

2. UX & UI Design: We prioritized simplicity and ease of navigation. The website’s top-level menu leads with essential categories—Menu, Our Story, Visit Us, and News & Events—ensuring immediate access to what customers value most. Large, high-quality photography highlights the ambiance and the coffee-making process.

Owner of Shabby Coffee Shop

“They didn’t just make a pretty website. They understood who we are and what we stand for, and they captured the feeling you get when you step into our café. Now, when people visit us online, they experience the same welcoming atmosphere they find in person.”

Mobile-First Responsiveness

Shabby’s customers often check details on the go. We designed every element from a mobile-first perspective. On smartphones, the menu loads in one tap, events are easily swiped through, and location details integrate with map apps effortlessly.

Social Media
Integration & Strategy

To cultivate a community beyond the café walls, we integrated Instagram feeds directly into the homepage, turning visuals of latte art and weekend brunches into dynamic storytelling. A calendar of social posts highlighted new menu items, behind-the-scenes and seasonal promotions—each crafted to engage with followers.

Development & Testing:

Our developers built a responsive site optimized for performance. Every image was compressed for quick load times, and the CMS (Content Management System) allowed Shabby’s team to easily update menus and event info. Rigorous testing on various devices and browsers confirmed a seamless, intuitive experience.

Social Content Scheduling &
Community Engagement:

We scheduled regular social posts, balancing product highlights (new coffee blends or items in a menu) with lifestyle content (barista tips, latte art videos). Strategic use of location tags and relevant hashtags extended Shabby’s digital footprint, while responsive community management helped foster a friendly, engaged online atmosphere.
